It’s broken when shipped, but is really quite good. Reggie boy actually prefers this to the Focus RS.

I’d still take an RS (admittedly with the head gasket issue corrected, if applicable), if only because I have to look at it, and so do other people.
The RS’ AWD is an advantage I would certainly make use of - this weekend in the snow I took our CX-5 out instead of my 6 and I could FEEL THE AWD WORKING! even when it didn’t seem that slippery to me.
I also massively prefer SYNC3 over HondaLink. Looking at the video, the T-R still has the old version with the awful touch-buttons for volume control (which sometimes I need to adjust faster than steering wheel controls allow).

I went for a ride in one and was expecting it to be quicker for some reason. I didn’t realize it weighs over 3000 lbs until I looked it up after that experience.

I took the RS out of consideration after I drove one. It’s fun and fast and far less garish, but extremely uncomfortable. I’m sure the CTR isn’t much better, mind you.

...but the Type R doesn’t overheat.

Too boy racer, overstyled, overwrought, and immature looking for me to ever considering owning. Its the same reason I went with a first gen speed3 over the second gen, I don’t want all the stupid attention this car will get you.
Also $40,000 for a civic = no just like $40,000 for a focus = no.

I just don’t like them. All the tech crap and the weight and the over styledness. The old ones were plain and simple with a revvy engine.
